On June 1st, Mike went to the ER for abdominal pain. He had some pain off and on for about 2 weeks prior. Upon examination and testing, a mass was found along with several smaller nodules in his abdominal sheath. After several tests and doctor appointments over a 6-week period, a GI Sarcoma Specialist with UC Health along with a care team is interested in starting immunotherapy. He is thrilled that there is a care plan coming together since he has been experiencing more pain on a daily basis and estimates that the large mass is growing approximately 1 cm per week.
