For years, our family has lived paycheck to paycheck, doing everything we can to make ends meet. No matter how hard we work, it seems like one unexpected expense sets us back all over again. Reliable transportation has been one of our biggest challenges. We've spent countless dollars trying to keep older vehicles on the road because buying a dependable one simply hasn't been possible. Unfortunately, our only vehicle has now broken down, leaving me without reliable transportation to work. Without a vehicle, I'm at risk of losing my job, which is the only income supporting our household. Like many families, we've also struggled with the lasting effects of past credit issues. Despite working hard to rebuild our credit, it has made it incredibly difficult to qualify for affordable financing or replace our vehicle, keeping us trapped in a cycle of expensive repairs and financial setbacks. At home, we're constantly making impossible choices between paying bills and covering basic necessities. Some months we worry about keeping the lights on. Even with food assistance, putting enough food on the table for our family remains a daily struggle as grocery costs continue to rise. As if those challenges weren't enough, we're also falling behind on other financial obligations and are now facing the possibility of losing our home. We have exhausted every resource we know of and continue doing everything we can to improve our situation. Asking for help is one of the hardest things we've ever had to do, but today we have no choice.
