This page was created to surround Mara with love, care, and practical support as she faces breast cancer treatment. During this time, even everyday tasks can become overwhelming, and our goal is to lighten her load in meaningful ways. Through this space, friends and family can come together to provide meals, financial support, and help with responsibilities—especially assisting with the care of her beloved grandmother. Whether it’s a home-cooked dinner, a small donation, or offering time and presence, every act of kindness makes a real difference. Mara is a full-time caregiver and cook for her 104 year old grandmother who doesn't leave the house often, and cannot be left alone. Family members always step in to take care of grandmother but gaps may come up due to work, travel, prior engagements, going with Mara to appts, or they also need a break themselves. Most importantly, this is a place to remind Mara that she is not alone. She is supported by a community that cares deeply for her and is ready to walk alongside her every step of the way.
If you know Mara, you know she is a foodie and loves everything except for deviled eggs, potato salad, and baked beans. No food allergies. Sometimes Mara's grandmother wants a hamburger kids meal with Coke from Braum's or McDonald's so an occasional happy meal dropped off or DoorDashed to the house is appreciated since grandmother does not like to leave the house and cannot be left by herself.
