Support for Rebekah and Vichet's new baby

Philadelphia, PA

Story

The Ous are dancing through the beautiful chaos of new parenthood—fueled by diapers, wipes, caffeine, and (fingers crossed) some delicious meals. This page is hosted by friends and coworkers of this dynamic duo. Let’s rally around them with food, kindness, and a little relief as they 'Ou-step' their way through their first dances with this tiny dance partner. --- Message from the parents: Hey all! Vichet here - Rebekah and I want to thank you all so much during this hectic and unexpected early arrival of our baby girl, Charlotte Sothy. We're still figuring out routine and everything because Chacha is in the NICU until she can do all the baby things she needs to do on her own. We're trying to spend as much time as we can with her, and not having to worry about preparing all of our meals will be a huge help. Again, thanks so much!

Special Notes

I'll try to make specific requests as they come up, but in general: - Whole foods, veggies, fruits, high fiber, highly nutritious things are appreciated. Tasty salads with good protein content (beans, chicken) - We are limiting gluten and dairy, but don't need that to be super strict - Cuisines we love that usually cover us are SE Asian (Thai, Viet, Khmer), Mediterranean (limit pasta and cheese), Mexican, Indian and Pakistani - Now and then we will request a naughty treat like too much ice cream and bread

Hey all! Thank you all so much for your support in this crazy journey we’ve had over the last six weeks! We’re finally falling into a rhythm and able to do most things ourselves so I’ve kept the page up for visits only at this point… DoorDash and instacart gifts you’ve already given are letting us take much needed breaks! Agains from the bottoms, tops, and in betweens of our hearts: thank you!!!

Hey all - Chacha graduated out of the NICU but still needs to stay in Pediatrics until she clears all her milestones to come home. We’re told this can take some weeks and is usually closer to her original 5/24 due date, but we were able to move into a suite with her. We’re mostly staying overnight at the hospital so she doesn’t have to be alone between her designated care times. If you send us something please just check in with Vichet (215-280-6435) or Rebekah (215-804-6632) first to confirm where we are!
