We Ride For Adam

We Ride for Adam Gallegos At the end of January 2026, Adam was diagnosed with Stage 4 bladder cancer. Since then it’s been a fight. Doctors removed a golf ball-sized tumor from his bladder, but the cancer was aggressive and spread through the muscle wall into other organs and 3 lymph nodes. During treatment, we also found out he has a second rare but treatable cancer. Because Adam’s heart was too weak for aggressive chemo, he started immunotherapy. After 5 rounds, a CT scan showed the cancer had grown and spread to his liver, the base of his skull, and the top of his spine. His pain is severe. He’s on 3 pain meds that barely touch it, plus medications for nausea, sleep, and night sweats. He had a nerve block procedure on Monday, July 13th and a full body bone scan on July 23rd to check for more spread. Why they need help: He have insurance, but the costs add up fast: • Weekly trips to Huntsman Cancer Center in Salt Lake for chemo, oncology, and pain management = $45 copay per doctor, per visit • Multiple prescriptions 1-2x per week with copays each time — insurance only covers a week of pain meds at a time • New year = new deductibles + 20% copays on treatments • Day-to-day living expenses while Adam fights They have cut every non-essential expense they can.
