Hello. My name is Tori. My mom is Dody Quigley. March 13th our lives were completely changed forever. My mom was sent to the emergency room for direct admittance to the main hospital and UC hospital for major concerns of her spleen possibly bursting. Cancer was mentioned but not confirmed. Well the more test they ran, the more the signs pointed to blood cancer. Well 6 days later, after a liver biopsy and bone marrow biopsy, it was confirmed she has cancer. From then on we've been fighting for her to get better. Her official diagnosis is B-CELL ACUTE LYMPHOBLASTIC LEUKEMIA. It is extremely rare in adults but highly treatable. Due to this sudden diagnosis and the intensity of her treatments, she is unable to work or get her bills paid on time. This was completely unexpected as cancer usually is and really pulled the rug out from under our small family. Any and all love and support is greatly appreciated. We know you all love my mom and I and we are so grateful for the people in our lives who have kept us in prayer and continued to love us through this. We love you all!!! Thank you
There are some dietary restrictions. She cannot have any ground root vegetables UNLESS THEY ARE VERY THOROUGHLY WASHED!!!!!! She is not super picky but please remember the chemo does sometimes ruin the taste of food for her and she did have the roux and y gastric bypass so she can only eat about as much as a small child. She does have a roommate whose a little more picky but that's okay
