Many of you have asked how you can support my sister and her family, so with her permission, I created one place where we can surround them with a little extra care. Their seven-year-old daughter has recently been diagnosed with Neuromyelitis Optica Spectrum Disorder, a rare autoimmune condition affecting the central nervous system. She is undergoing testing and treatment, and the family is facing a great deal of uncertainty while spending time away from home. My brother-in-law is also missing work so they can be together and focus on getting her the care she needs. I’ve created a support page where anyone who would like to help can send a DoorDash, grocery, gas or other gift card, or contribute directly toward meals, travel expenses and lost income.
