On Friday February 13th, my wonderful and loving sister unexpectedly lost her husband, soul mate and best friend. Their children lost a father. His parents lost a son, my parents lost a son in law. I lost a brother in law. My son lost an uncle. The world lost a bright and funny light. He worked his butt off at Pepsi while my sister is a teacher at an elementary school and their team work was admirable. He was 39 years old so no one could have ever expected something like this would happen. My Aunt set up a gofundme to help my sister and the kids financially, with funeral expenses, bills. Etc. She had been one half of a team for 14 years and now she’s navigating being a single mom- she is NOT alone. We will not let her struggle on her own ever. But we may need all the help we can get. I’m trying to start a meal train so food/preparing meals for her and the kids, doesn’t have to be an additional thing to focus on when she should be focusing on grieving and healing and processing this all. Micah was the most giving, family oriented, hard working, and funny guy I’ve ever had the pleasure of knowing. He took care of his family first and foremost. Now it’s our turn to make sure we take care of them, for him, now. If you’re able, please go check out the calendar, pick a meal /day and sign up for whatever you’re able to offer/make.
