Lois recently returned home after undergoing her second hip replacement on the same hip. After her first surgery, she worked incredibly hard, dedicated to physical therapy, staying active, and doing everything she could to heal. But after 15 months of persistent pain, she learned the original surgery needed to be redone. She is now home, recovering, and staying optimistic. Still, she faces limited mobility and will be using a walker for at least six weeks as she regains strength. At the same time, Rick continues with his own ongoing treatments. Between Lois’s recovery and Rick’s health needs, daily tasks have become more challenging, and they could truly use a little extra support from the people who love them. If you’re able, this is a wonderful moment to step in—whether through a meal, an errand, a note of encouragement, or simply keeping them in your prayers. Every gesture makes a difference and reminds them they’re surrounded by a caring community. Thank you for lifting them up during this season of healing and hope.
Meals are a special request. Rick has a few special dietary needs and should stay away from spinach and kale. They could also use some help getting the mail and some small daily tasks.
