Supporting Marilyn's Journey

Springdale, AR

Story

Hi friends, family, and kind-hearted strangers, meet Marilyn Rose, a beautiful, bright-eyed, 19-month-old baby girl with the sweetest spirit. This past weekend, Marilyn’s world changed forever when she was diagnosed with T-cell Leukemia, a rare and aggressive form of cancer. Her mommy, Noel, knew something was wrong. Despite being brushed off, Noel refused to give up. Crying and pleading, while still being dismissed, she trusted her mother’s intuition and took Marilyn to Children’s Hospital in Springdale, Arkansas. That decision saved Marilyn's life. Within minutes, Marilyn was life-flighted to Little Rock, where she received four blood transfusions, had a PICC line placed, underwent a spinal tap, began two rounds of chemotherapy, and endured radiation treatment, all within her first 48 hours in the fight for her life. Now, doctors are testing to see if the cancer has spread to her brain and spine. The road ahead is long and uncertain, but this tiny warrior is already showing incredible strength. Noel and Brandon, Marilyn’s parents, have other children at home and are doing everything they can to keep their family together during this nightmare. But as you can imagine, cancer doesn’t just devastate emotionally, it brings financial hardship too. From rent and utilities to food, gas, and medical bills, the burdens are piling up. This is a long journey so if you feel led to help with any meals, I know the family will greatly appreciate it.
