Popz’s Fight Begins A few weeks ago, Popz was diagnosed with esophageal cancer. As of now, here’s the plan: six weeks of combined chemotherapy and radiation, starting at the end of August. During the week he will stay with me and as much as he can, he will go home on the weekends. There are still a few more tests and appointments in August before treatment kicks off, but his care team is optimistic about this approach for his situation. Popz has never backed down from a fight in his life, and this one is no different. He’s already showing the same grit and humor that’s carried him through everything else — because let’s be honest, Popz was never going to go quietly. 😄 We’ll use this page to share updates as treatment gets underway, and to let you know the best ways to help — whether that’s a meal, a ride, a card, or just good energy sent his way. Thank you for loving him the way you do. It means more than you know. More soon. Let’s go kick Cancer’s a$$. 💪
