Shanon was working in classroom 17 and making great connections and relationships with each of our students until a couple of weeks ago when she suddenly passed out at home and was admitted to the hospital in a coma. She woke up 4 days later in the ICU after fighting for her life from Meningitis. She is now at home, but she has a long recovery ahead, 6-8 weeks at least. She has blurred double vision that should improve over time, and is working on gaining stamina. She has one kid at home who goes to Shasta, and an early 20's daughter who is trying to help as much as she can. Shanon is a single parent and could really use some help right now in whatever form you can provide: shopping money/gift cards, a hot meal, etc.
