For the past four years, our family has been navigating something no parent ever wants to experience\. Our son has been suffering from seizures that have continued to get worse and worse over the years\. What started as something we hoped we could manage has turned into countless appointments, emergency situations, hospital stays, and a lot of uncertainty\. At one point, his seizures became so severe that he had to be life\-flighted to UC Davis\. Since then, we have been in and out of the hospital several times, doing everything we can to get answers and help him\. We finally received some answers when doctors discovered that he has **several non\-cancerous tumors that are causing his seizures**\. After years of watching him struggle, we have surgery scheduled for October to remove the tumors\. We are praying that this surgery will finally give him some relief and the opportunity to live a life without these debilitating seizures\. Unfortunately, our most recent hospital stay has been especially difficult\. We have now been in the hospital for almost three weeks, and we still don’t know when we will be able to return home\. During this stay, he developed an infection at the site where one of the rods was implanted, creating another complication that has prolonged his recovery\. Throughout these four years, the appointments, emergency hospital visits, procedures, and hospital stays have caused us to miss a significant amount of work\. This most recent hospitalization has made things even harder because we don’t know when we will be able to return to work or when he will finally be healthy enough to come home\. We never imagined we would find ourselves in a position where we would need to ask for help\. But right now, our main focus is our son and making sure he gets the care he needs\. If you are able to donate, **any amount would mean more to our family than we can put into words\.** These funds will help us with the expenses that have come with the hospital stays, travel, medical needs, missed work, and everything else that comes with caring for our son during this difficult time\. If you aren’t able to donate, we completely understand\. ❤️ Sharing this post, keeping our son in your thoughts and prayers, or simply reaching out to our family means just as much\. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, checked on us, prayed for our son, and stood by our family throughout these past four years\. We truly appreciate every bit of love and support\. ❤️ **Please keep our son in your prayers as we continue this fight and prepare for his surgery in October\.** ❤️.
