Hi everyone, this is Alex. On February 26, Amanda was diagnosed with breast cancer. Thankfully, it was caught early—but she will still undergo a double mastectomy on Monday, March 24. I’ll be taking that first week off work to care for her, but recovery will take time—4 to 6 weeks. We’ve created this page to help coordinate support during Amanda’s recovery. With so much on her plate physically and emotionally, we’re trying to reduce stress wherever possible—for her, for me, and for Buffy. We would be so grateful for help with meals, dog park trips for the Bostons, gift cards (especially for food delivery or house cleaning), and maybe a ride or two for Buffy. As Amanda heals, I’ll also be managing household needs, working, and getting Buffy to and from school and activities—so even small gestures can make a huge difference in our day-to-day lives.
