Supporting the Nelson Family

W
Story

As you all know, Becky is currently recovering from Botulism at the Craig H Neilsen Rehab Facility in Salt Lake City, She has been making monumental progress over the last couple months and has been approved to GO HOME! She will be arriving home on July 3rd and we are all so excited to have her home. If you feel called to offer assistance during her transition home, we would be so appreciative of home cooked meals or meal delivery during the week. Becky has not yet transitioned to eating solid foods but we have every confidence this will happen soon! Meals would be very helpful for those that are helping care for her. As Becky transitions home, we would also like to respectfully ask for privacy. Returning home is an exciting step, but it is also a very important part of her recovery. She will have a full schedule of follow-up appointments, therapies, and plenty of rest as her body continues to heal. If you are dropping off a meal, we kindly ask that you coordinate with Allie (406-231-3328) beforehand and simply leave the meal at the door. While we know so many of you are eager to see Becky and celebrate this milestone with her, we ask that you refrain from staying to visit at this time. Limiting visitors and keeping interactions brief will help conserve Becky's energy, reduce the risk of illness, and allow her to focus on healing during these first few weeks at home. Your understanding and support in honoring this request is one of the greatest gifts you can give her right now. When Becky is feeling stronger and ready for visitors, we will happily let everyone know. If you would like to coordinate a future visit, please reach out to Allie. Thank you all again for your incredible love, generosity, and continued prayers. Becky is a true warrior, and every day she reminds us of her strength, determination, and unwavering will to recover. We are so thankful to have each of you walking alongside us on this journey. We can't wait to share this next chapter with all of you as Becky continues to make progress.
