If you’ve spent any time around the DFW cycling community, you probably know Jaime — the energy, the laughter, the heart behind Hangover Riders and Happy Riders. He’s the one cheering people up hills, welcoming new faces, and reminding everyone why we ride in the first place: connection, joy, and community. Now, Jaime and Maribel need that same community to rally around them. Jaime is in the toughest fight of his life, facing a serious battle with cancer. Through it all, he’s continued to meet each day with the same warmth and courage that make him who he is. Beside him, Maribel — his partner in every sense — is carrying so much, including the strain of not being paid during the government shutdown. Their most immediate need is food support — grocery, restaurant, or delivery gift cards to help take one worry off their plate.
