Love you love you love you!!! 🖤🫂♥️ Hi friends and family, My surgery is scheduled for May 14th! Really soon! This is my top surgery support page. I need help with all sorts of care things, including prep before surgery. Some types of care I’m needing before surgery: - accountability buddies to get shit done (I’m procrastinating and extremely overwhelmed) - help me collect supplies - help me prep for my name change court date (scheduled for May 19th!) - emotional support because I’m literally falling apart at the seams rn but accepting care is scary for me A note on addresses: From 5/14 - 5/18 I'll be at 444 Mission St, Pasadena From 5/19 on I'll be back home: 1411 Yosemite Drive, LA Care during Recovery: - Care team for day 1! This will include taking me to and from surgery, getting me in and out of the car, giving emo support, physically setting me up back at home, getting me fed and medicated. Hoping to have 3 people for this day. - For the first 5 days of recovery, my goal is to find someone for the morning shift and for the afternoon shift, preferably with no gaps. Just bc this is the most vulnerable and challenging part. - Meals! More info on this in the special notes. - Rides! I will need a ride to and from surgery, to and from my post op, to and from my name change court date (May 19), and to and from recovery meetings. - Groceries! - Chores like tidying my space, dishes, laundry, helping my roommates maintain a clean space, water my plants I want to honor that everyone’s capacity is different so here’s a list of other ways to support <3 - come do a ritual with me, like Shabbat!! This would be so meaningful to experience while I’m healing. - let’s watch some movies or read or parallel play together - come over for an art hang or jam sesh! Music is so healing for me. - Anything else fun and accessible! (I won’t be able lift my arms above shoulder height or lift anything). - Silliness will be an essential for me. Bring your sillies. - call me or ft me or text me or send me a letter or care package*** (see wishlist) or some flowers - let’s take a walk and breathe some fresh air and chat and witness the trees Thank you all so much for showing up for me in this life changing moment. This all feels very vulnerable to be putting out there, but it means so much to me that folks are coming thru. I feel very, very grateful to share this experience with my people.
