❤️ A Little Love & Support for the Abney Family ❤️ This page and Meal Train were created not because the Abney family asked for them, they didn’t. They were created because after the many phone calls, visits, messages, prayers, and conversations, we realized just how much the Abney family has lost and how much their lives have changed. They are now learning how to navigate and adjust to a new journey without someone who was a significant and deeply loved part of their family. And while we know that no meal, gift, or gesture can take away their pain, we want them to know one very important thing: They are not walking this journey alone. ❤️ Sometimes support means showing up. Sometimes it means making sure there is one less thing for a family to worry about. Sometimes it’s a home-cooked meal, a food delivery, a gift card, a phone call, a prayer, or simply reminding them, “We’re still here.” So, we created this Meal Train as a simple way for family, friends, church family, coworkers, and loved ones to surround the Abneys with love, encouragement, comfort, and a little practical help as they take things one day at a time. 🍽️ A Special Note About Darnell Please keep in mind that Darnell has some dietary restrictions. When providing meals or food, please avoid: 🚫 Energy drinks 🚫 Sandwich meat/deli meats 🚫 Very salty foods 🚫 Greasy foods We appreciate everyone being mindful of these needs and helping us make sure the meals being provided are both comforting and appropriate for him. 🎁 Prefer to Give a Gift Card? That’s perfectly fine too! If bringing or ordering a meal isn’t convenient, a food gift card is a wonderful way to show your support and gives the family the flexibility to choose what works best for them that day. Most importantly, please know that your presence, prayers, encouragement, and love mean just as much as any meal.
