Dear Community, Here at RCHDC, we are gearing up to welcome new residents, many who have been homeless for years, at Siskiyou Crossroads off Foothill Dr. in Yreka, CA. We are putting together welcome baskets for each of our forty-eight units. We also host weekly group meetings, life skill activities, learning activities, and group meals. We would appreciate any donations you might like to contribute to this cause. As a community it is our duty to look after those that cannot look after themselves. Studies have shown that when individuals overcome homelessness, they have a faster rate of becoming self-sufficient. When they are given support and tools, they need to be successful. RCHDC would also accept educational classes as a donation as well, helping to guide our residents in the direction of self-care and self-sufficient. Below are examples of items we would like to include in our welcome baskets and things for our weekly groups. • Toilet paper • Paper towels • Shampoo, conditioner, body wash. • Personal hygiene items (deodorant, toothbrushes, toothpaste, hairbrushes) • Bar soap, hand soap • Laundry soap • Cleaning Supplies (Lysol wipes, air freshener, etc.) • Towels (hand towels, wash clothes, bath towels) • Food (canned, nonperishable) • Activities (games, outdoor activities, art supplies, crafts) • Time (Offering Free Educational Classes) Monetary contributions are also welcome. Our tax ID# 98-231-9894. Thank you from all the staff and all the residents of Siskiyou Crossroads. Sincerely, Elizabeth Woods, (530)366-8843 Resident Service Coordinator Siskiyou Crossroads, Rural Communities Housing Development Corporation 510 N Foothill Dr. Yreka, CA 96097
All donors will be recognized within our main building, in the main lobby. As every agency or every individual walks in to our office they will see the amount of support that is helping develop our residents journey.
