In early February, Megan was diagnosed with Invasive Lobular Breast Cancer, the second most common type of breast cancer. The good news is that outcomes for this diagnosis are strong, and the vast majority of people who go through treatment go on to live full, normal lives once they’ve healed. Megan fully intends to be one of them. She is approaching this the same way she approaches everything else in life... steady, practical, and ready to fight. This diagnosis does not get to define her or steal what matters most. But for a little while, life is going to look very different than normal. The everyday rhythm of the Wright family from school drop-offs, work schedules, meals, and the countless behind-the-scenes tasks that keep a household running will take more energy and need more hands than usual. The road ahead is navigable, but it is long, and it will require support. This is where we come in. The Wright family will need backup in the weeks and months ahead so that Megan can focus on healing and fighting without also having to carry the full weight of everyday responsibilities. Meals and small acts of care can make a real difference during this time. This page was created to help us show up in practical ways. We know this season may be hard. We also know Megan is not walking it alone. As a community, we are stepping in to steady what we can while she focuses on getting well. Thank you for being part of the Megan Wright Community Circle.
