Support for Claire 🕊️

Appleton, WI

W
Story

On April 1, 2026, Claire’s grandma, Rosemary, unexpectedly passed away in an accident. Anyone who knows Claire is familiar with how close she was to Rosemary and understands what a significant loss this is. In addition to processing her grief, Claire is also finalizing her wedding and finishing building her house. With her permission, we created this page to provide practical help for Claire up until the wedding on May 16. 1.) Grocery Drop Offs Below there is a shared calendar with slots available for grocery drop-offs. When choosing items, think of simple, easy-to-prepare foods (sandwich ingredients, frozen meals, snacks, pasta, etc.). Claire asked for high calorie/high protein items as she struggles with her appetite when she is stressed. She is staying with her parents, so feel free to get items for them as well. Expectations: • Drop-off only; please do not stay unless invited • No expectation to visit or socialize unless invited • Provide simple comfort foods • Be mindful of portion sizes; Choose items that refrigerate or freeze well; Consider preparing 1–2 servings for practicality 2.) Gift Cards If you’re unable to participate through the calendar, you can visit the Wishlist to purchase a gift card. Once purchased, the gift card will be emailed directly to Claire. This provides flexibility that Claire can use as needed. 3.) Weekly Check-Ins On the calendar, there is a slot to sign up for a check-in. This can be a text or phone call to see what help Claire needs that week, especially for the wedding. Claire will keep me updated on wedding-related tasks, and I will add them to the calendar as needed. Having someone check in at the beginning of the week provides additional support for coordination. 4.) Leave a Kind Note Below Claire has access to this page and will be able to see any notes or participation. A small note can go a long way. **** The goal of this page is to offer quiet, steady support and reduce decisions for Claire in a way that is respectful and comfortable. In the 'Updates' section you’ll find a link to Rosemary's obituary. When Claire sends me specific wedding-related tasks I will post an update as well to help fill the slots. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to reach out to Claire G. via text (920) 809-5189
