Stephen has been one of my closest friends since my first day in college, and his mom, Patti, was always so kind and welcoming. Stephen and Patti were a true duo, with little family beyond each other. Their bond was truly special, and you couldn’t know Stephen without knowing, or at least hearing about, his mom. Every single decision Stephen made, whether it was where to go to college, where to attend medical school, or even where to consider for residency, was made with Patti in mind. He was the best son she could have possibly asked for, and she loved him with all her heart. Tragically, Patti passed away suddenly, leaving Stephen with almost no family left. He is currently in medical school, facing the immense challenge of grieving this loss while also managing the financial burden of cremation and funeral costs.
