In February 2025, during the Thermal show in Tigre, Tigre was knocked down and trampled, sustaining a serious leg and foot injury. He spent a week hospitalized, and although he returned to work, the injury continued to flare up throughout the year. After a doctor’s visit on December 15 and several blood tests, Tigre received devastating news the following day: he was severely diabetic and needed to be rushed to the hospital. By Friday, doctors made the difficult but life-saving decision to amputate his leg below the knee. Tigre faces a long road to recovery, but through it all he has remained remarkably positive, buoyed by the love and support of everyone around him. We pray—and truly believe—that with perseverance he will one day regain his position as a head groom for top horse show trainers. At only 39 years old, Tigre’s depth of knowledge, brilliance in the show world, and genuine love for the animals are undeniable. His dedication has never gone unnoticed, and his strength and spirit continue to inspire us all. We want to help keep Tigre healthy by ensuring nutritious meals are delivered to his apartment in San Juan Capistrano. His recovery requires no sugars and wholesome, balanced food choices, and having regular meals will make a meaningful difference in his healing journey. We hope you’ll consider joining us in supporting Tigre during this time. Any help—whether providing a meal or two—will be deeply appreciated and will ease his road to recovery. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and prayers. God bless.
