Feeding the Freeburg with the Freshly Fixed Heart

Mobridge, SD

W
Story

Helping Dan Feed His Heart During Recovery On October 12, Dan Freeburg underwent triple-bypass surgery to address several significant blockages in the arteries around his heart. Thankfully, the surgery went well, and Dan is making good progress in his recovery! When Dan returns home to Mobridge, SD, he will have a long road of healing ahead. For the next several weeks, he'll need to take things slowly, get plenty of rest, and focus on rebuilding his strength. We're organizing this Meal Train to make life a little easier for Dan and RuthAnn during this recovery. Providing a meal is a simple but meaningful way to help them focus on healing rather than worrying about what to cook. We can't thank you enough for helping with this process! Whether you can prepare a homemade meal, arrange for delivery, or send a gift card, your generosity and support will mean a great deal. Thank you for helping take care of Dan and his family during this next chapter of recovery. We're grateful for the wonderful community surrounding them!

Special Notes

Dan's doctors recommend a heart-healthy Mediterranean diet that focuses on vegetables, fruits, whole grains, lean proteins (like chicken and fish), beans, and healthy fats like olive oil. Meals should be lower in salt, butter, and cream, with no fried foods or processed meats, but don't need to be fancy or complicated! Learn more here: https://danfreeburgfood.netlify.app/
