We are a group of neighbors who have a passion for increasing medical access, building relationship to land, and supportive community. We gather many times a month to work on our garden, make herbal medicine, get to know each other over s'mores, and take care of our neighbors. Stop by our garden beds at 34th/Aldrich Ave S, and see what's growing! General Accessibility Info: the front hard is slightly sloped but event with short foliage easily maneuvered by our cart’s 3” wheels + partial to fully shaded. the back hard is primarily gravel with a steeper slope down into the alley. it is relatively level with gravel and clover with direct sun until after 1p our beds are all raised min 3’ so they’re workable from seated; we’ve got 5-7lb chairs and a cart to move things + we’re working to get better shade cover out back to help with the heat! bathroom is available during hosted events (or if we’re home!) via 1 flight of 5 steps or 2 flights of 3 steps. All the food grown is for the taking. we ask you leave the medicinal plants as they are used to make herbal medicine that will be later stocked in the Resource Hub (newspaper box). Feel free to check it out + take home any treasures! Please be kind to our plants, and be sure to only take what is ready to be given. This means gathering only what is ripe, minimizing damage where possible, and giving back to the garden through weeding, watering, or other care when you're able. We'd love for you to join us! Our monthly costs are ~$200 due to a rotating need for minstrum (oils, glycerine, glass containers, labels, etc.), production space, and annual administrative costs (MHS membership, Proton Mail, NCHG membership, printing flyers/labels, etc.).
