I’ll be having surgery soon as part of my ongoing journey battling lipedema. This procedure is an important step toward improving my quality of life, but recovery will take time and I’ll have lifting, cooking, and activity restrictions. If you’d like to support me during this time, I’ve created a meal train. Whether it’s a homemade meal, takeout, a grocery delivery, or a restaurant gift card, every act of kindness will help lighten the load and allow me to focus on healing. Lipedema is a painful, progressive disease that causes an abnormal buildup of diseased fat, chronic inflammation, swelling, and significant pain. If you feel led to help, one of the greatest gifts would be providing a meal during my recovery.
Thank you so much for supporting my recovery! To optimize my recovery from surgery, I’m following an anti-inflammatory, Mediterranean-style diet to help reduce inflammation and support healing. If you’re bringing a meal, foods that are especially appreciated include: • Lean proteins (lean beef, grilled chicken, turkey, salmon, shrimp, or other fish) • Lots of vegetables (roasted, grilled, or steamed) • Whole grains like brown rice or quinoa • Fresh fruit • Healthy fats like olive oil and avocado If possible, please avoid fried foods or heavily processed foods. Restaurant gift cards for places with healthy options are also incredibly helpful! Thank you for helping nourish my body while it heals. Your kindness means more than you know. ❤️
