While on vacation in Florida, Brett experienced a serious medical emergency, suffering two strokes and undergoing surgery. He is currently stable in the ICU and receiving excellent care. As is often the case with brain injuries, there are still many unknowns, and the days and weeks ahead will involve a lot of waiting, monitoring, and taking things one step at a time. At this point, we don’t yet know what the longer-term timeline will look like. Andrea and immediate family have been able to join Brett in Florida and be by his side. Because they are away from home unexpectedly and may remain there for an extended period of time, we’ve created this page as a simple way for friends and loved ones to support them from afar.
