My name is Veneviv Mena, and I’m currently facing one of the hardest battles of my life. I was recently diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer and am preparing to begin chemotherapy after having my port placed. This journey has been overwhelming, emotional, and life-changing, but I am choosing to fight with everything I have. I’m a student working toward becoming a drug and addiction counselor, and helping others has always been my purpose. Even through this difficult time, I’m holding on to that purpose and staying strong. Right now, I’m asking for support as I go through treatment. Chemotherapy will make it difficult for me to work and manage daily responsibilities. Any help, meals, financial support, prayers, or simply sharing my story, means more than words can express. I am fighting for my kids, my family, and my future. I’m not backing down. I’m fighting for my life, and I will continue to push forward with strength and faith. Due to chemotherapy, my immune system will be weakened. If visiting, please make sure you are not sick and follow good hygiene. Meals that are simple, healthy, and not too heavy are appreciated. I may have days where I feel very fatigued, so patience and understanding mean a lot. Most of all, your prayers, positive energy, and support truly help me stay strong through this journey.
