On December 11, my husband Kelvin Broughton will undergo a life-changing kidney transplant—a moment we have been preparing for with equal parts courage, faith, and gratitude. Many of you who know Kelvin know that he meets every challenge with unwavering positivity. This journey has not been easy. But through it all, Kelvin has remained the same loving, encouraging, steady presence he has always been.
