Hello friends and family. Some of you may know that my sister, Christina Elmore, was recently diagnosed with Breast Cancer. She has had a crazy schedule of doctor appointments, phone calls and decisions ever since that day. After a lot of thought about the future, Chris decided to have a double mastectomy. Her surgery will be this Friday morning. I couldn't believe that she will go home later that same day! They will be taking a couple of lymph nodes to biopsy. If I understand correctly, she is a stage 2 if the cancer is in her lymph nodes, otherwise she is stage 1. Thank God she gets mammograms and they caught it early. Chris will be recovering at my house in Moody so I can help with her drain tubes, pain medication, meals and anything else she needs to rest and recover. We appreciate any form of support you would like to donate for Chris to have a stress-free recovery. I think a meal train is an awesome idea to spread out meals over the most tiring first few weeks.
