My Story Hi, my name is Johneice, and I’m asking for help during one of the hardest financial periods I’ve faced. Over the past several months, I’ve experienced serious health issues that have made it difficult to keep up with my finances. I have been dealing with complications from soft ball sized uterine fibroids, an exploding appendix and more recently I’m suffering from a bowel obstruction. Between the pain, $100 co-pays, medical appointments, recovery, and missed work, my income has taken a significant hit. I work a full-time job and I also DoorDash to make ends meet. Unfortunately, DoorDash has been much slower than usual, and I’m no longer earning enough to cover the gap between my income and my monthly bills. Despite working two jobs, I’m still falling short on rent. I’m actively searching for a third job because I’m determined to get back on stable financial footing. I’m not asking for help instead of working. I’m asking for help while I continue doing everything I can to support myself. Right now, I need $1,500 to cover my rent and avoid falling further behind financially. Any amount, no matter how small, will help relieve this immediate burden and give me the chance to focus on recovering, working, and rebuilding.
