Love for Ian of Kenya

W
Story

One of the children who came to our Amani Children's Home in Meru, Kenya is Ian. He arrived after having a surgery that was done improperly on his leg after a fall from a tree. As a result, his foot is very crooked and one leg is significantly shorter than the other and this has caused pain, spinal issues, and difficulty with friends and growing up. One of our International Peace Initiatives (IPI at www.ipeacei.org) former Board Chairs got him accepted into Shriner's Hospital in Chicago. They feel very hopeful, but he has to stay at least six months with our founder as his sponsor at The Ronald McDonald House in Chicago as he undergoes multiple surgeries. The two of them remain in Chicago, knowing no one and in need of some meals, a visit, tickets for museums, gift cards for ubers or groceries or restaurants. Anything is appreciated and please pass this along!

Special Notes

They still have several weeks before the first surgery and are anxious to visit Chicago. They would love a host on an outing, or an invitation to a meal or even a pop in visit from a stranger. Also, gift cards or tickets are equally welcome and helpful!
