In July, Jessica began her cancer journey. Jeff has been her rock from the very beginning, and anyone who knows him knows he has shown up for her every single step of the way. His work family has been incredible—swapping shifts, letting him leave at a moment’s notice, and supporting him however they can. Because of this, Jeff has missed many needed workdays and has been using his vacation time for what has been, let’s be honest, anything but a vacation. I’ve created this page to see if we can help lighten that load. I’ll be posting Jeff’s workdays so we can support Jessica by simply being with her. Sometimes that may mean sitting quietly while she rests. Other days it might mean keeping her company in the kiddie pool while she soaks up some Vitamin D or watching the Game Show Network together. Even covering part of a shift would give Jeff peace of mind, allow him to work, and help him save those vacation days for when Jessica kicks cancer to the curb—and they can finally take a real vacation.
