Why I Started This Fundraiser for Grandma Judy. I started this fundraiser for my Grandma Judy because she’s going through a really difficult time, and she needs support now more than ever. Grandma suffers from severe arthritis — it’s gotten so bad that she can barely walk. She also has a heart condition called atrial fibrillation (AFib), which makes it very hard for her to breathe. Just walking across the room leaves her completely out of breath. Between these health issues, everyday tasks have become a major struggle. One of the biggest things we're hoping to do is get her a new mobility scooter to help her regain some independence and ease her daily pain. On top of that, she's currently trying to sell her house, which has been a stressful process. She still needs to cover her mortgage, rent at her senior living apartment, along with regular bills and groceries. My grandparents were always the type of people who gave even when they didn’t have much to give. They helped family, friends, neighbors, and even strangers in need. They gave to the poor, offered what they had, and never turned anyone away, even when they were barely getting by themselves. Now that Grandpa is gone, I made a promise to take care of Grandma. And I intend to keep it. I’m just asking for a little help from others to return the kindness they gave so freely for so many years. Every donation big or small helps ease Grandma’s burdens and brings her a little more comfort and peace. And if you can’t give right now, simply sharing this page means more than you know.
