Hi folks. My name is Ellie Roscher. I met Laura through the Collegeville Institute and we became fast friends. Laura was diagnosed with breast cancer in April 2023. This diagnosis was sudden and unexpected, and the cancer is serious. She will undergo surgery, chemo, and radiation over the next year, so this will have a huge impact on their family of 5 sons (ages 3-13). Laura is the hub of the Fanucci wheel. She holds everything together. And for the foreseeable future, she is going to need time and space to fight, heal, and feel. This will be a huge shift, and we can help. Grief loves a job to do. Let's rally around Laura and make sure the logistics of life--groceries and meals--continue so she can focus on her family and her body.
Laura is a vegetarian, but Franco and the kids eat it all! You know how kids can be picky, so think easy meals that kids may like. If you're not local and would like to help with a meal, here are local options for e-gift cards: Chipotle, Panera, Jimmy John's, Papa Murphy's, Noodles & Co, and Papa John's. For groceries, they often shop at Target, Trader Joe's, or Costco so store gift cards would be great as well.
