Without any warning, our dear friend, Annie was diagnosed with leukemia and required an extended hospital stay of over 1 month. She has now been released from the hospital and will begin the next phase of her healing journey. She will be able to experience the comforts of home, yet over the next 6 months she will need to undergo intensive outpatient chemo treatments. This phase presents a different set of needs including: meals as her body adjusts to the treatments & the level of exhaustion that could potentially ensue, visitation during chemo to keep her company and encouraged, as well as financial assistance to ease the burden of being out of work for an extended time. Annie has felt so loved by everyone visiting her in the hospital amongst so many other ways she was blessed by the outpouring of tangible love she received! We are hoping to continue that love & care for her in this next phase of her health journey!
THE CALENDAR PROVIDED IS TO SIGN UP FOR CONTINUED CARE: MEALS, GENERAL VISITS OR VISITATION DURING CHEMO TREATMENTS. If preparing or delivering food for Annie, please make sure its gluten free:) Also meats must be fully cooked - no sushi for example, sorry, Annie ☹️, fruits must be peeled. Food/grocery delivery gift cards, such as Doordash or Instacart are a great idea! Giant Eagle meets a lot of her dietary needs & is close to her, as well as two close favorites for takeout: Alladins & Chipotle! And can't go wrong with Chick Fil A grilled nuggets with a side of kale salad (one of her faves!!)
