Hey Friends and Family, I will be having a Total Hysterectomy with bilateral Salpingectomy and unilateral likely right oophorectomy on Dec. 14th. The Doctor says I will be in recovery for 6 to 12 weeks depending on how my body reacts and heals. I am a single mom of a 15 yr old Autistic Son with PTSD and Depression. Due to this surgery I will be unable to work, drive, cook, clean, and take care of Avery and our 2 emotional support dogs. Not being able to work for 6 weeks will put a huge strain on my finances. I am unsure how I will be supporting myself and son financially during my recovery. I have picked up extra shift at my job up until my surgery. I just started this job November 17th. My previous job had cut my hours to 3.5 hours per week trying to get me to quit after I hurt myself on the job in June, 2 weeks before my divorce was final and I was stuck with all the debt and mortgage. I have exhausted all of my savings since then while trying to find adequate employment, taking care of my son, and my elderly parents. All this happening at Christmas is alot. Last year my mom almost died from a perforated bowel exactly 1 year to the day that I will have my surgery. I was unable to give my kids a Christmas last year due to being in a hotel in Duluth for 4 weeks while my mom was hospitalized at St. Mary's Essentia Duluth. I am unsure what this Christmas will look like for my kids. I am so overwhelmed and doing my best to stay a float but desperately need this surgery. During this time I will need a lot of assistance. I am reaching out for help in any capacity. I appreciate all and any prayers, good wishes, help and support we will receive!
Avery has Autism and can be a picky eater. He loves pepperoni pizza, chicken nuggets, alfredo, Cheeseburgers, Steak, Mac and cheese, fries, General Tso chicken, egg rolls, Turkey. Salad with black Olives cheese and ranch. I am not so picky and will eat almost anything with the exception of mushrooms. I will let people know when I am up to visitors as that will be played by ear. We do have 2 hyper pitbulls who are very kind but do jump and get very excited at any visitors. I will be unable to control this. I do have squirt bottles to help with their behaviors
