Jodi says the most helpful support right now is a meal train of 2x weekly dinners to feed 4. We are starting with a Tuesday Thursday schedule, but when you sign up for a turn, it would be good to check that day is best. Her next big treatment is Monday 9/31, so she’ll probably really appreciate bland food the first week of September. Last week, as she recovered from the first dose, she enjoyed some mild gumbo from Du Jour in East Falmouth!
Update from Jodi regarding what tastes good... -mild food is still best such as chicken, turkey and other mild items. However, she is no longer tolerating cooked carrots, and has potentially had enough chicken soup for a little while :) “Food my dad can't eat: Shellfish (like Shrimp, lobster, crab); Anything super cheesy, creamy or fried;Red meat. flowers-she told me she loves having a lot of flowers, but is good on books/ magazines, and has a lot of chapsticks, lotions, etc.” NOTE: PATRICIA HAS TAKEN ON THE ROLE OF OUR FLORIST AND WILL BRING WEEKLY (?) BOUQUETS. but if you add a little something to your dinner drop, that’s extra nice!
