Story
"I don't like being alone all day yet." - Grandma Sweetman Grandma is never one to ask for anything or to ask for help - she's fiercely independent. But her physical recovery will be much improved if she can be kept in good spirits by good company. The family in Warwick do their best to stop by as often as possible, but maybe we could alleviate that for them a little and help organize visits from the broader family in the area (and encourage phone calls from those in WI, MT, MI, CAN, etc.!) to help ease Grandma's loneliness. This page is our best attempt at easy sign up for visiting/calling, so family members can coordinate spacing out visits and not overlap too much - we don't need sign ups all 7 days of the week, but how great would it be if Grandma got 3-4 different visitors each week?:)
Special Notes
Grandma is mostly in need of company and social visits. Bear in mind she is quite frail so do not expect "to be hosted". In other words: - If you are visiting around a mealtime, please consider bringing her a meal to share (she loves fresh salad and pasta!) - If you are visiting around tea time, consider bringing some baked goodies (if you're wondering what time "tea time" is, it's the span of time between any given meal ;) ) - If you have the time and/or inclination, give her a call (845-986-6157) or email ([email protected]) before your visit to see if she needs any groceries or would like any help around the house while you visit. - If your visit creates any dishes or mess, please clean it up before you leave. - If you happen to track in any dirt, mud, or other debris, please sweep/clean it up before you leave.
