This page is named "Alice's Brigadoon" because Alice frequently says that she doesn't just love Houston, she is "in love" with it. More than once, she has called her beloved "magical" community her own "Brigadoon." As many may already know, Alice has been diagnosed with lung cancer and leukemia, and she is currently using a wheelchair. Her journey will no doubt be strange and difficult, and there are many questions still to be answered, but we're certain that Alice will travel it with her usual grace, wit, determination, and style. She has an amazing community in all of you, so this page has been created in order to coordinate your support. She primarily needs help with meals, rides to medical appointments (and other events) as needed, and occasional walks for her sweet furry buddy, Mahoney. We are deeply grateful for any support you are able to provide!
While Alice is usually very social and loves all of you, she may be more tired than usual over the next stretch of time and not feel up for visiting. For this reason, it would be best to drop meals off outside her door between 5 and 7pm and then text her to let her know it is there.
