Stone Family Support

MORTON GROVE, IL

Story

Savannah had a doctor's appointment in Friday 2/6 for her 25 week check up with our MFM Doctor and things did not go as expected. We found out baby is getting restricted blood flow from the placenta causing high risk of premature delivery or worst case still birth. Savannah was admitted to Luthern General to monitor the baby over the weekend. The baby received a steroid treatment to help boost growth of some vital organs giving it a better chance of survival in case of an early delivery. Good news is Savannah is fine, no risk to her other then the typical risks of having a C-section if it should come to that. Monday 2/9 we were released from the hospital since the baby's vitals stayed pretry consistent, passing 8 out of the 10 measurements they were watching. So we are at home for now with check ins every Monday and Thursdays to see how the baby's growth and blood flow are progressing. One of the nurse's said every one day in the womb is three days out of the NICU so we are just hoping Baby Stone stays put for as long as possible but the doctor's don't think he'll stay put longer then 30 weeks. So bad news is we have had to cancel all travel, teaching in California as well as going to my sister's wedding. We have to be prepared for Savannah to be checked back into the hospital at any time for closer monitoring or an emergency C-section should the doctors determine it is not longer safe to keep the baby inside the womb. So we have been getting many questions of how people can help! And so we decided to setup this page so that if anyone would like to support us by dropping off food, dog care or just a support gift you could see what we need and when.

Special Notes

Special notes, good news is we don't have any dietary restrictions! Savannah is needing food in high protein and iron. If you are looking to send any gifts please check out our Baby List for C-Section support items. https://my.babylist.com/cieunxhzw
