Our dear friend Melanie has been through an incredibly difficult few months. After surgery in December, she developed blood clots in both lungs and was hospitalized. While recovering, new testing showed she is now facing a likely autoimmune condition that will require ongoing care and appointments. Most recently, she had a severe allergic reaction during an iron infusion and was back in the ER. She is home and safe, but exhausted and needing time to heal.
