My name is Priscilla Saunders, and I would like to introduce myself and share my story with you. This is a story hope, faith and how advanced medical treatment saved my micropremie. Xiana Saunders is the smallest and youngest interms of gestional period ever born at LGH woman’s and babies hospital. She was delivered on 8/25/24 at 9:04 in the morning her due date was December 28 2024 she was 22weeks and 0 days gestation weighing 14. ounces. A size 2.0 intubation tube (the smallest available) saved her life. The NICU team warned me they weren’t sure they would be able to intubate her because of how small she was. I went into labor at 21 weeks and 5 days and with the help of the doctors and nurses at woman’s and babies I was able to carry her until 22 weeks. She’s now 22 pounds and thriving Shes truly a miracle.
