Janet was diagnosed with scoliosis in elementary school, due to circumstances beyond her control, her scoliosis went untreated. As the years went on her scoliosis continued to progress. For the past couple years her scoliosis has caused major discomfort and pain. 3 spine specialists later, they all agreed that the only course of action that can be taken is surgery. Her 40 degree curve will only get worse and start causing major issues if not corrected. Janet is scheduled for Major Back surgery on Oct 26th, with a full recovery time of 12 months. This will be a very trying time for Janet and Chris, they will need help with household chores, meal prep, and care for Janet when Chris is at work during early recovery. There are also things that need to get done prior to Surgery day.
Janet will be in the Hospital for about a week before coming home. Visitors are welcome. Please check with us before visiting. Please keep in mind that her surgery is an all day surgery 8-10 hours long. So, not a good day for visiting. More info to come as we get closer to surgery date.
