Making a post for my sweet grandparents, Rosie Ortega and Raul Ortega on their behalf because life is getting real tough. Special thank you to Kbratz Que -Brisket, Burgers & More and Veronica Harden, they have been so kind enough to bring meals and they are so grateful. 💗 My grandma suffered a stroke on June 9th, she was in the ICU for 3 days, then released. She was then readdmitted twice since then for her bleed getting bigger and then she suffered a fall, hit her head once more and sustained a tailbone fractute. She has lost a bit of function on her left side which means she can no longer drive, work, cook, clean, do yard work, be in her garden, and do pretty much any activities of daily living on her own. My grandpa is very stressed and weak as well having to hold up life single handedly while caring for my grandma, therefore he’s been out of work as well. It’s not going to be like this for forever because we all know shes stubborn (lol) and is determined to get back to her old self but right now its just the beginning of a long roas. As y’all may know, my sister and I are the only ones who live nearby, we spend as much time as we can helping them but between both of our schedules its impossible to be here 24/7 to help and that means with meals. My mom and my sister have been down here from DFW helping but they can only stay for so long as well. I am reaching out asking if there’s anyone that will graciously help them out in doing a meal train for them, gift cards or even helping with yard work. 🫶🏽 Its only them two so im thinking a meal every other day. They live on a little less than an acre (5 lots) and my grandpa absolute can not mow, weedeat and tend to their flowers on his own. Like I said we are going up and back from Lawn, where they live to help out in every way we can but some extra helping hands wouldn’t hurt either.
