Supporting the Buteaux Family as Rylee heals

New Iberia, LA

W
Story

Our church family has the opportunity to come alongside Zeb, Rebecca, and Rylee during an incredibly difficult season. Last week, Rylee was involved in a serious accident with an 18-wheeler. By God’s grace, she survived, and we are so thankful for His protection and for the first responders who helped rescue her. While we praise the Lord for preserving her life, Rylee has a long road of recovery ahead. She has been hospitalized for the past week with a fractured hip, a punctured lung, and other injuries. She will soon be transferred to a rehabilitation facility, where she will begin the challenging process of healing and learning to walk again. As you can imagine, Zeb and Rebecca want to spend as much time as possible by Rylee’s side while continuing to work and care for the responsibilities of everyday life. In the middle of all of this, they are also preparing to move into a larger apartment on the 14th so they can create a comfortable space for Rylee to continue her recovery when she is able to come home. One of the greatest ways we can love this family is by providing dinner over the next several weeks. A home-cooked meal may seem small, but it allows them to focus on what matters most—being present with Rylee during her recovery. Thank you for helping us be the hands and feet of Jesus. Your kindness, prayers, meals, and encouragement will be a tangible reminder that they are not walking through this season alone.
