Supporting a Divorcee in need of Help

W
Story

Help Me Rebuild My Life After Divorce ❤️ I never imagined I would find myself writing this or asking others for help. Asking for financial help has never been easy for me, but after everything that has happened over the past year, I have reached a point where I can no longer carry everything on my own. After 10 years of marriage, I thought I was building a life and a future with the person I would grow old with. Instead, I discovered that my husband had been unfaithful numerous times, and my entire life changed. The end of my marriage became even more complicated when my husband was accused of pursuing a minor and subsequently began facing legal charges related to those allegations. Trying to process those circumstances while going through a divorce, losing the life I thought I had, and figuring out how to move forward has been incredibly painful and overwhelming. But the divorce hasn’t been the only loss I’ve been grieving. I am also still grieving the immense loss of my foster children, who became like my own children. Anyone who has loved and cared for a child knows that the bond doesn’t simply disappear when circumstances change. Losing that part of my life has left an emptiness that is difficult to put into words. So much of my life has changed at once. I went from having two incomes to suddenly trying to survive on one. I was left with bills and financial responsibilities that I never expected to have to carry alone, all while trying to rebuild my life emotionally and financially. Right now, I am struggling with some very basic necessities. My bank account is overdrawn, my car insurance needs to be paid to keep my vehicle insured, and I am trying to make sure I can afford groceries, gas, and food for my two dogs. My vehicle is also having tire issues, creating another unexpected expense. Reliable transportation is essential for me to work and support myself, and safe tires are something I simply can’t put off. I also have ongoing medical and prescription expenses that I need to maintain. These aren’t luxuries or things I can simply eliminate from my budget. They are necessities that have become increasingly difficult to afford while I’m trying to get back on my feet. Because of everything I’ve been facing, I’ve set a $5,000 fundraising goal. This money would help me catch up on essential and past-due bills, keep my car insured, address my tire needs, afford medical care and prescriptions, purchase groceries and gas, provide food and necessities for my dogs, and give me a little breathing room while I work toward becoming financially stable again. I’m not asking for money to live extravagantly. I’m asking for help getting through a season of my life that has completely changed everything I thought my future would look like. My dogs are my family. They have been beside me through some of the hardest days of my life, and making sure they are cared for is incredibly important to me. I am still working. I am still trying. I am still showing up every day and doing everything I can to rebuild. But sometimes being strong doesn’t mean doing everything alone. Sometimes it means having the courage to admit that you need help. If you are able to contribute financially, any amount truly matters. $10, $20, $50—whatever someone is able to give could help me pay a bill, put gas in my car, buy groceries, purchase dog food, or help cover a medical expense. And if you aren’t able to donate, sharing this fundraiser is just as meaningful to me. You never know who might see it and be able to help. After 10 years of marriage, the loss of the future I thought I had, the pain of infidelity, the circumstances surrounding my former husband, the loss of my foster children who meant so much to me, and the financial uncertainty that followed, I am simply trying to find my footing again. I don’t want this chapter to define the rest of my life. I want to heal. I want to rebuild. I want to feel secure again. And I want to create a peaceful, stable life for myself and my dogs. If you choose to help me, please know that you aren’t just helping me pay a bill. You’re helping me breathe a little easier while I put the pieces of my life back together. Thank you for reading my story, for caring enough to be here, for every donation, every share, every prayer, and every kind word. I am incredibly grateful for every person who helps me through this chapter and reminds me that even when life feels incredibly heavy, I don’t have to walk through it completely alone. ❤️
