In early 2025, after many months of symptoms and no answers, Cynthia was diagnosed with Stage 4 colorectal cancer that had metastasized to her liver. Through surgery and a grueling chemotherapy routine, she fought hard, supported by her fiancee Grant and the rest of us who love her, but ultimately the cancer won. It is Grant who needs us now, having lost to cancer first his sister in 2024, and now Cynthia. He has poured himself into her care these many months and does not have much family to hold him up. Food and gift cards are of course always welcome; and other needs will no doubt arise. Please give generously in memory of our sweet and sassy Cynthia, who was my colleague for 13 years.
