Love for Lindsay - let's rally around our beautiful friend as she embarks on a difficult journey fighting Stage III breast cancer. Lindsay was recently diagnosed with triple negative breast cancer that has spread to her lymph nodes, but thankfully she can still undergo treatment for a possible cure. She starts chemotherapy treatment on July 30, 2025, and will be receiving weekly infusions at UCLA for 12 weeks every Wednesday, then every 3 weeks for another 12 weeks. Once that is over she will undergo surgery and radiation treatment, and then will have additional treatment with immunotherapy after surgery. This truly is a marathon, and Lindsay unfortunately will have to take a long leave of absence from her psychiatry practice during treatment. She has two beautiful young children and a busy doctor husband who also need our support. Patients undergoing this type of chemo often have nausea, severe fatigue, pain, and loss of appetite. If you are able to help, whether it be bringing by a home cooked meal, running some errands, taking Lindsay to appointments, helping with the kids and chores, or sending a gift card for take-out I'm sure the family would appreciate it.
Lindsay doesn't like spicy food, and simple kid friendly meals are best. The kids love burgers and Italian food (pizza and pasta). Please ring bell for unit 2 for any deliveries (don’t leave at gate).
