Jaidyn lost his father to the prison system at a very young age. His dad lived a destructive lifestyle and is now serving a 37-year sentence. Because of this, Jaidyn has had to grow up with a massive, painful void in his life. Without a father figure to guide him, he is having a profoundly hard time learning what it means to become a man. That deep sense of abandonment has left him feeling hopeless, and his quiet pain often spills over into struggles with his behavior. He is a good kid who is hurting, lost, and trying to navigate a world that feels incredibly unfair to him. I am fighting every single day to break this cycle and keep him on the right path, but the weight of doing it completely alone is overwhelming. Right now, we lack the basic stability required to help Jaidyn heal. We do not have a permanent home, and without a reliable car, just getting from point A to point B—whether it's getting him to school or getting me to work—is a constant struggle.
